Why hello there!

As I have said probably a million times, I love juxtaposition. For all of you non-English Lit majors out there, juxtaposition is when you put two seemingly unrelated--more like contrasting--elements together and somehow, they work cohesively. A great example of juxtaposition in fashion is leather and lace; leather is inherently masculine and lace is a very feminine fabric, yet they almost always compliment each other. Another is light and dark fabrics and patterns.

This beautiful skirt is from Target from a clearance rack. I picked up about a month and a half ago and I definitely don't get to wear it a lot. I wish I had more places to go to wear such a lovely skirt to, but alas, I don't. Yet.

I paired my lovely crop top--I can't get over it--with this skit, because it looks so wrong yet so right. Actually, the product image for this top has the model wearing a skirt with it, so I feel like I'm not in the wrong for this pairing.

  1. I love me some leather and lace! I think it is the best contrast ever, especially when it is cream color lace and dark brown leather <3

    1. Thanks! Some of them are actually toe rings that I wear above knuckles.
