I know that my style sense isn't everyone's taste, and I don't expect it to be.

Top--Thrift//Skirt--Wet Seal//Socks--Sock Dreams//Boots--Thrift

But, you don't have to be a child about it.

While I was thrifting today, some teenage girls ridiculed my outfit. I'm not at all affected by their opinions or anything, but that's just a sucky mentality to have!
You don't know what anyone is going through, so keep your comments to yourself.
We shouldn't go tiptoeing around everyone, and that's not what I'm trying to say, but commenting on someone's appearance or their taste in style, or anything like that is just petty and reflects badly on you. Self esteem issues are incredibly common and though I don't personally have any, there are so many more who do, and to have the mentality that it is okay to openly mock someone for their outfit or outwardly appearance is terrible, and you should be ashamed.

I'm not looking for any compliments or anything like that, I just want people to understand that style is a personal thing, and it can be hurtful to poke fun at that.

  2. I completely agree, people like that suck. And honestly I don't understand how they could possibly make fun of your outfit! Your style is adorable and I'm glad that you have the confidence to wear what you want no matter what people think. So thanks for this post, I loved reading it.
