#LovePreloved: Tips for Buying Secondhand
Wednesday, November 05, 2014
Vinted has launched a campaign, #LovePreloved, a movement to spread the love and idea behind buying secondhand, and to dispel the myths around it. I'm happy to be apart of this campaign and to spread the word and love about preloved and secondhand clothing!
In my years of buying secondhand, I've learned the tried and true ways of buying. I've already made a guide to thrifting, and now, I'm going to tackle Vinted.
Communication is key for scoring deals on Vinted!
1) Message the buyer using the "I Want It" button, don't use comments. Comments tend to get drowned out by other notifications, so using the "I Want It" button sends a message to the seller, so you're more likely to get a response!
2) Use the "Make an Offer" under the "I Want It" option to start a negotiation! You can offer a price, and the seller can accept or counter offer.
3) Another way to score is to use the search option and refine using relevant filters to find your perfect item. Simply type in what you're looking for, like "wide brim hat", then refine!
It's super easy to score treasures on Vinted. This hat is my favorite and most worn item I've bought from Vinted, and it was a little over a dollar. It was a fantastic score!
WISHLIST | NOVEMBER 2014
Tuesday, November 04, 2014
1) Cable knit sweater// 2)Chunky Scarf//3) Bodycon dress//4) Tan wide brim hat//5) Heeled buckled boots
6) Plaid infinity scarf// 7) Non black loafers// 8) Slouchy beanie
Sorry for the delay on my monthly wishlist!
This month marks the beginning of the busy season, and I want to be comfortable, but also stylish. This month, I'm lusting over cable knit sweaters and scarves for that necessary warmth (it's already snowed here!). I want a body con dress to layer under overly large sweaters, and a tan hat to lighten up any outfit. For the ultimate comfort, I'm going for a nice slouchy beanie and some loafers (preferably not in black), and to add to my collection of black boots, I'm in need of a pair of slightly heeled, cut out buckled boots.
Happy shopping!

#LovePreLoved: The Secondhand Movement

I am a secondhand lover. Not only is buying secondhand cheaper, it also breathes new life into old garments. I almost exclusively buy secondhand.
The number one thing that people ask me about my shopping is "why?"
Why do you shop secondhand?
