HOMEMADE | Breakfast Pizza

Saturday, March 07, 2015

My boyfriend found this recipe on Buzfeed and begged me to try it out.
Fry bacon. Frying bacon can take a while. so I always try starting it first before going on to another step/

Roll out your dough. I used seamless crescent dough (which did not fit too well on my pizza pan).

Brush on some extra virgin olive oil for added crispyness and browning.

Spread a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on the dough. I like to keep a cheese free boarder around the edges because the cheese will naturally melt and spread to those areas.

Add spinach leaves/

And your bacon stripes.

And mushroom and cracked eggs.

And bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese had melted and the dough is brown.

TADA! Lovely and light breakfast pizza.

The addition of egg may sound weird to people, but egg is a huger staple in breakfast and egg adds a nice texture and taste to most foods, and breakfast pizza is no different.

I like that this pizza is light, in weight and on the palette. Bacon, though naturally heavy and greasy, is balanced with the crescent dough, spinach and mushrooms, making a great breakfast--or anytime--pizza.

Recipe originally from Buzzfeed Food, modified by me.
