LOOKBOOK: Spring is Still Pretty Cold

Saturday, March 14, 2015

I know that Spring is a departure from the Winter, when the color comes back and the frigid temperatures become more comfortable.
But it's still cold.
There is no way that in the beginning of Spring, you're wearing cheeky shorts and a crop top.
  It's simply too cold.

Tights can be uncomfortable, which is why I often swap tights for over the knee socks. They're an essential for Spring! I threw a sweater over a grey tiered dress and hiked the socks up with some boots, for a monochrome but still warm Spring outfit.

A nice tee dress is perfect for Spring, because it doesn't require any extra layers to look nice. I tired a chambray shirt around my waist in lieu of a belt to add some color to the outfit and threw on some basic ankle boots.

Scarves are the perfect way to keep warm without sacrificing style, which is why I love them so much. I paired a pair of high waist jeans with a cropped sweater with lace peplum, and added a scarf for a bit of colormatching.

This lookbook was in dire need of some color, so why not throw in a pale pink for good measure? This kimono is one of my most recent thrifted finds, and I found it to be perfect for the Spring season. I put it atop a lace and elephant short combo for an added layer of interest.

This is lookbook one of two I'm doing to celebrate the impending Spring season!

  1. Such fun vintage looks- and I love your facial expressions, so cute, yet a bit smirky. Love that lace top. :)

I hope you can stop by my bloggie too. I just did an interview and style post on this awesome fair trade fashion company. Let me know what you think! I look forward to your reply.

  2. I love these looks! I'm always in search of ways to make the most of transitional pieces. I just bought that striped shirt dress from Forever 21 this weekend, and I can already tell it's going to become a favorite wardrobe item. <3
