Coat and jacket season is almost here again! If you have been following me for a while, you'd know that I'm all about the outerwear. Kimonos, cardigans, parkas, anoraks, coats, jackets--I'm a fan of them all! It is my firm belief that an outfit is not complete without some form of outerwear and I'm getting giddy at the thought of being able to don a leather jacket and a coat again.
Andrew Marc recently reached out to me to check out their site and I have to tell you guys, I have an extensive wishlist--the coats and jackets are just fantastic. The Brooke jacket is a gorgeous update on the classic trench coat, with an detachable hood, whilst the Haley jacket blends two different textiles together to create an interesting and chic piece. Trench coats are a staple in any fashionistas wardrobe, and one with a detachable hood, for the rainy days and nights, is perfect! I'm not usually a fan of dual textures, but the blend of the two textiles on the Brooke jacket are beyond gorgeous!
There is something so chic and timeless about a coat. The Laura coat is a menswear inspired pressed boucle coat that is tailored to perfection, which contrasts the Dora parka (my favorite!) which was made for exploring the city in the ultimate utility style. You guys, I love parkas, I cannot get over the gorgeous wine merlot color of this parka, but if merlot isn't you style, it also comes in black! The Wendy Coat is an extended size coat made of melton wool for an exaggerated and oversized cocoon look and the Lela coat is a clean, smart looking maxi coat made of boucle that will compliment any outfit. Offering extended sizes is so beneficial, which is so beneficial to those of us who aren't in the standard clothes size range.
