When the sun sets at 5:30 and you have to wear a coat all day, that's when you know it's the end of the year.

Cold Sundays are the my favorite, because it's an excuse to stay inside and cuddle up with a blanket near the fireplace. It's stayed around the freezing mark here today, which is a departure from yesterday's strong storms at 60 degree high, but as people say, it's the Midwest. I didn't want to wear tights today because I'm lazy, so I threw on some thigh socks and called it a day. I wasn't cold, so I guess it worked!
Today was a day of celebrating Tony's birthday (belatedly) by going out for lunch with his family, and grocery shopping. I know, so exciting, but you know what? Sometimes the most mundane things are the most needed things. Especially if it means your new (and oddly bigger?) fridge is now full of food just waiting to be prepared.
