I've been wearing a lot of black lately. I remember when wearing black had a stigma at school. I had a perfect outfit in 6th grade: black capris, a black and red tee that had a peace sign, a red cardigan and black converse. One day, my gym teacher pulled me aside and asked if I needed to go talk to the counselor. I had no idea what he was talking about then. And, I remember in 8th grade, I had a hoodie that was black and had grey pinstripes and I was called "emo". Which, in 8th grade, that was a compliment. But, not so much now.
I find black to be universal and seasonless. You can wear it any time of year and it's still fashionable. Most basics are black, and everyone's lusting over the perfect little black dress. Black goes with everything and I just have a lot of feelings about black.
I found this black skinnies on clearance at Target for a little under $9. That's just amazing, 70% of clearance is the best of the best. I actually debated on buying a pair of black skinnies from H&M's newly launched online US store, but I don't like shipping fees. So, I carried on my search and I'm glad I did. I paired my black skinnies with a white blouse and then layered a black cardigan over it. For shoes, I thought I'd wear my lovely Litas, considering I just learned how to actually walk in heels. I just to just walk like normal, but apparently, you don't walk that way in heels. Good to know. And, I really love the look of Litas with pants, it's chic!
I love this lipstick. I love red lipstick, as you all may know, and this one is no exception. It's Red Velvet by Wet n Wild, and I have to say, it's a really good dupe for MAC's Ruby Woo. I love Ruby Woo (and Russian Red), but I don't have a MAC store near me and I hate to pay for online shopping, so I always find drugstore dupes.
Have a lovely Monday!
