Such a warm outfit for a chilly and grey day.
Poncho--Target
Sweater--Forever 21
Jeggings--Meijer
Boots--Thrift
I promptly sent a snap to my best friend telling her I felt like the Russian Czarina I was born to be. Hence the title of this post. I don't know if Czarinas wore plaid ponchos with detachable fur collars, but in my fictional world, I'd like to think that they did/do.
This is my first piece of clothing with faux fur and it's surprisingly less itchy and less...cheap than I thought it would be. I mean, faux fur is still one of my least favorite trends of this season, but at least I can say that it's warm.
I played with the variations of grey in the poncho by going with a largely neutral outfit. I paired a dainty lace sweater from Forever 21 with some high waist dark wash jeggings, along with my favorite cut out booties and my new grey floppy hat from eBay. I wanted to make this poncho the star of the show, so I kept everything neutral. The cool thing about this poncho is that it has buttons that help create sleeves, and you can unbutton them so you can belt it for more waist definition. I can see myself wearing this a lot, especially in the colder months. And, there are a ton of fun colors in it to play up and accentuate, so this is a great addition to my closet.
Today is the last day of November and I cannot tell you how excited I am for December and the cold temperatures. I love winter!
