I'm not too big on trends: personal style is about having your own take on fashion and not delving deep into trends. But, damn, I'm really loving the poncho trend. Large, warm sweaters with the ability to layer over and under? Sign me up! I bought this one on clearance at Meijer, a midwest chain of retail stores and using some discounts, I got it for $10. Score.
The key to styling something as large as a poncho is to keep everything else form fitted. This poncho with a fitted blouse underneath and a pair of dark wash skinnies help to keep the volume at bay. You don't want to look like you're drowning in a sweater.

This outfit is gorgeous, what a bargain too! You're so right about keeping everything else form fitting, I love baggy knitwear but sometimes it can drown you.
