Spring has sprung with 75 degree mid-days and stormy nights. It's bare leg season.

Wearing:
Target hat
Urban Outfitters Bandana
Vinted Blouse
Forever 21 Skirt (old)
Steve Madden Boots

What is this? No tights in March? It really must be Spring! Though, nature hasn't gotten the message--the trees are still barren and no blooming flowers to report as of yet.

Let's talk about thighs that touch and bare leg season: as the weather warms up and the bottoms get shorter and shorter, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep the thighs from wanting to commit suicide by chafing. I always wear shorts when I wear skirts and dresses for the potential threat of chafing and the harassment of the wind, and these ones from Forever 21 are an almost literal godsend. For a little over $5 and you can have cute lace trimmed thigh saving shorts. If they show, you get cute lace, and if they don't show, you have the satisfaction of having chafe free thighs. Win win. I know that there are more ethical brands who also offer garments like this, so if you want a "Save Your Thighs Roundup" post, let me know!

Tony and I discovered the ultimate hidden gem recently: a little Japanese market with a sushi and ramen bar attached. The market is full of imported Japanese goodies as well as authentic Japanese delights, like dango, mochi and Japanese cheesecake. Indy has international markets, so this isn't a new concept to us, but the experience of it being solely Japanese was. Plus, the ramen was delicious and affordable, which are usually mutually exclusive here in the land of corn.

Though I love the cold months and the bug free time that accompanies it, Spring is very much welcomed.

  1. Oooh YES, I would love a "Save Your Thighs Roundup" post!! I always end up wearing jeans instead of dresses or skirts in the summer to avoid chub rub (and because I don't like my legs but that's a whole other issue!) I wore JEANS to the ZOO in the middle of SUMMER last year. Never again.
