Light and Bright in Mustard Yellow

Once the hot weather hit, I was SCRAMBLING for sandals. When we moves across the city in early Winter, my concern was getting the cold weather clothes from one point to the other, but I don't know what happened between point a and point b that all of my sandals went missing. It's been a struggle finding sandals that work for me as I have wide feet and refuse to have my toes separated by a shoe. So far, I've found a few pairs I like, like these slides, but I have the worlds UGLIEST feet, I've noticed. It's the years of having to wear closed toe shows, I'm telling you.

It is hot hot hot outside. I'm slathered in SPF 50, I have JUST a dress on, and I am sweating. But, I love it? I grew up in Florida, where it's humid and sunny around 229 days a year, so the heat of the sun in my skin is such a nostalgic feeling. It's also one of the reasons why I love the cold weather season, because I grew up without it. To keep me cool and comfortable, I wore this lightweight old Forever 21 dress I got from Poshmark (thanks Sara!) and the aforementioned slides. I tied my hair up with a headscarf because how about no to sweaty hair sticking to my neck and finished the look off with dangly earrings.

I've actually been really into earrings lately! I usually go for studs, because hello, long textured hair and dangly earring usually end in ouch, but I'm learning how to cope! I've made countless pair of tassel earrings out of embroidery thread and I've really been loving astrological sign earrings, because I am definitely a Pisces.
