In life, there are amazing friends, and then there are friends who only want to be there when it benefits them. Those are called fair weather friends. I'm fortunate enough to not have any fair weather friends, but not all of us can be that lucky, apparently. My boyfriend has recently come to terms with this fact, and he's devastated he allowed this to go on. Moral of the story: If someone is only friends with you when it benefits them, stay far away from them. Run far away.

Thrifting Tips and Tricks

A good 90% of my wardrobe is thrifted. I don't like paying full price, and I refuse to. I call it the "thrift store effect", in which thrift stores have spoiled me with their low prices. A few days ago, my friend asked me to help her shop for herself--because she hadn't done it in years--which I agreed to. As we shopped in the mall and at the thrift, she noticed that I had two totally different ways of shopping. Here are the tips I gave her:

Inspiration--1/3/2013

January Wishlist

This month's wishlist may be inspires by the fact that it's in the single digits outside and my little fingers are frozen, but I'm really in the mood/need for some more winter clothes.

I really do need more jumpers/sweaters, some with actual warmth, and I also need more cardigans, for places that are too warm for coats, but not warm enough for no outerwear (work). And, as always, I'm looking for some perfect dresses, skater skirts and pleated skirts.

And, since my tight collection is dwindling, thanks to washing machines, I must stock back up. I'm thinking dark neutrals and deep reds. Those are good year round, right?
