As someone who has both shopped and worked on Black Friday, I will be the first to admit that Black Friday is a horror show. The lines, all of the people, and all of the sales are overwhelming, if not horrifying, to some people. With the experience that I have shopping and working on this day, I thought I would make a survival guide for you Black Friday newbies. And, just in time, too.

There dozens of trends floating around right now that it may seem like it's hard to tell what's trend and what isn't. The biggest trends right now are plaid, thigh high boots, turtle necks, emerald green and a dozen others.

It's somehow sad that Thanksgiving always gets the shaft for the holidays. Not as much fun as Halloween, not as much religious/global/ gifting/commercial opportunity as Christmas/Hanukkah/etc... Styling can be difficult, especially when it comes to trendy pieces. How to style, also known as how I style, is a chance for me to pick a trend and style it using Polyvore to help you.

Eyelet dresses are a staple in summer; they're light and airy, and they're usually white and innocent.  But, once the warm weather goes away, you hang it up in the closet and ignore it for months, only to bring it back out once the snow clears.  But, you can wear them year round with a bit of work, and I'm here to show you how.

It finally did it, it finally snowed here. Which, to me, means that fall is slowly slipping away from us just as soon as it started. Quite literally, it is below freezing out and there is still remnants of orange leaves.

What makes an outfit "work?" Is it the actual pieces, or your je ne sais quoi? Not knowing, or trying to quantify is what keeps the fashion media in business. Which is why I always love browsing through the links. When ever I wear this skirt, I feel like a Grecian matriarch, regardless of the fact that this skirt is not Greek and neither am I. 

I'm going to tackle the two biggest leather jackets on the market: the moto jacket and the bomber jacket. They look similar, and in the classic black, it's hard to see the defining details.There is two major differences between the jackets: 1. Moto jackets collars stand up on their own, bomber jackets have a full zippable collar. 2. Moto jackets are leather all around, bomber jackets have an elasticized waist to keep it tight. 


With that being said, here are the stylings!

I was quite literally dragged to the midnight release of Call of Duty: Ghosts tonight--I'm actually editing this in Gamestop whilst sitting under a 3DS display.  I'm a gamer, and I'm not opposed to the midnight releases. It' just that this was so sudden. That, and I'm sad that I lack the funds to buy Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.  Woe. Is. Me.

GoldandCocaine is my favorite Polyvore user, it's like her Polyvore was made for me! Have a lovely Monday!
