I'm day 4 into my second cold of the year and I just have to ask the universe, why me?

So needless to say, being outside in sub freezing wet weather to take photos of this outfit wasn't in the plans for the day.
I know the color the year is Greenery, but I can't help but to wear more muted colors this time of year. Green is such a warm weather color and though I know I could definitely make it work in mid January, I'm not compelled to don the full on light green shade yet. But olive? I can do olive. I discovered this olive floppy hat in a messy pile on a table in Forever 21. Marked for $3.99 with an additional 30% being taken off clearance at that time, it was quickly in my hands to keep. I picked up a similar chestnut brown color at the same time for the same price because it's not like I don't already have a thousand hats. Mild exaggeration.
Passing up a good sweater is a sin in my book, so I had to grab this lightweight v neck one from Charlotte Russe. The mannequin had it styled in the most Katie like way ever, so I caved, plus, it was on sale. So score for me. I tucked the mustard baby into a pair of mid rise thrifted black jeans and layered a faux leather jacket atop for some warmth and edge.
That's it for now, let's all pray and hope that I don't get my third cold of the month once this one ends.
