Thrifted Chelsea Boots

I'm not the kind of person who wears all black in the winter, so colors in the winter are completely normal for me, including pink. The winter weather--bleak and usually grey--lends itself useful for creating colorful outfits because of the contrast. That's why I love embracing colors, even if they're mostly jewel tones, in winter.

I don't think I've ever been the kind of person who hated pink. Okay, maybe in everyone's emo days they claimed they didn't like it, but I really do like pastel shades of pink. Millennial pink (ugh) has to be the most gorgeous pink color I've ever seen and I truly love it. This skirt, which is a few years old at this point, is a well loved piece in my wardrobe--long enough for work, flattering cut, it's pleated--it's perfect for me. The only issue I have with it is that it's thin, so a slip is necessary. I paired the skirt with a neutral sweater to not compete with the pink skirt, and added tights because it is still chilly out there.

So, you might be noticing the green water. These were shot on St. Patrick's Day when the Canal was dyed green and it was unexpectedly cold down there. It made a chilly day into a freezing one and of course, we weren't wearing coats. There is a time in the winter where everyone just gives up on wearing outerwear because they no longer want to wear it and that's me at this point. Get a little warmer already!
