This one is a long time coming!
A little while back, I ordered a bunch of accessories off of eBay and they all have finally arrived, so it is time for a haul! I also added a little review at the bottom, because I know there are some apprehensions that you may have about eBay.
First, and foremost, this hat is the most adorable hat I have laid my eyes on. And, trust me, I have seen a lot hats. No arguments can be made about that. And, for under $5, I just can't beat that, ever. I plan to use this baby a lot and I'm sorry in advance for that. It's the cutest little straw cat hat I've seen and I'm going to abuse the crap out of it.
I finally did the cliche, I bought a flower crown. I have said in the past that I wouldn't wear one because it's too Lana del Rey (and I hate Lana del Rey), but this one is more hippie boho than talentless copycat, so I'm okay with it.
Yet another skull scarf, but this one is more colorful, but not so colorful that it can't be transitioned into other seasons. And the skull print is a print inside of another print, so it's multidimensional and it's interesting.
This really adorable fox bag. I've seen this everywhere and I knew I needed it, but I wasn't willing to fork over $45+ for it. So, I found one on eBay for $6. $6. That's a great price. Now, because it did come from China, and I don't live so conveniently close to China, it did take a long while to get here, which is the struggle of eBay.
I love the, what I call, Snow White necklaces, because they're half eaten apples. I love this one because it will be great in the winter, because of the quality and shine of the red. It's undeniably cute and I like the homemade feel of it. I saw Annika from Pineneedle Collective with one of these a while back, and I wanted one then, so I'm glad I found one for significantly cheaper.
I'm not a huge fan of deer (I'm an ocelot person) but this necklace was too cute to pass out. I'm a fan of long necklaces and this one is no different. It's cute and it will go well with anything.
I like the vintage feel of the bottle opener necklace. Its quirky and it's long so it will be great to pair with tights and jumpers. It also says "beer king" because I'm obviously the king of beer. It's going to look so great this upcoming fall/winter. And, it's multifunctional, ya know, if I ever want to open a beer or an orange soda.
I love above the knuckle rings, I think they add dimensions to your fingers. I like these because they are so basic and I can stack them on each other or leave them be. Becca from VoussontBeauetBelle really made me want some because she's always sporting one or two. I have more intricate ones, but now I have some thin banded one.
Now, eBay. I'm a long time fan. I buy from there at least once a month. I don't usually buy a lot--like I did here--but I do know the site and sellers well.
I'm going to review bigkeyboard and lilyyangstore, because they are the stores I bought the majority of my things from in this haul.
Bigkeyboard is a seller based in China, in Shenzhen. They've been on eBay since 2007, so they have a history in selling on eBay.They use the ePacket delivery method, so, unless you already live in Asia (which I know some of my readers do) then the shipping will be faster than if you're UK or US. It took me 10 days to get my items from bigkeyboard, and frankly, I was expecting it to be longer than that because all of my eBay accessories are from China. But they still came within the estimated delivery time. The prices were incredibly affordable and I really love the selection. The store was very me. It took a lot of willpower to not buy everything I looked at which is definitely a good thing in stores, especially on eBay. Most of the items are free shipping to, which helps to cut down on prices. They packaged all of my items together so it was very convenient. My experience with this shop was very pleasant and I will order from them again.
Lilyyangstore was quite similar. Lilyyangstore is from Hong Kong, and they've been on eBay since 2008. They boasted a more timely delivery, but, their items came in 15 days. As I said before, I was expecting about a month for all of my stuff to get here, because it's China, so I wasn't expecting a timely delivery. This stores selection wasn't as catered for me, but they still have an amazing selection. A lot of items in this store were items I've seen everywhere from the Asian fashion blogs I follow, so it's great if you're looking for what's hot in Asia right now. The items I got from this store were packaged well, except the straw hat, it was really squished in the packaging. Which, I mean, there is really no way to fold it up without breaking it, so I understand, but putting it into a box might have been a better idea. Though the shipping was longer and there were some minor discrepancies, I would buy from this store again.
I hope that my review helped and qualm any fears you might have about eBay and buying from there!
If you have any concerns or questions, you can let me know down below and I will surely answer!
Have a wonderful day, guys, and enjoy!
I ADORE that cat bowler hat and that flower crown/garland. The scarf is cute too!
ReplyDeleteAbout eBay. What are some good tips when it comes to shopping for clothes? I found this cute dress on eBay and the only size is small. I'm a size 4.
Buying clothes from Asian sellers is a doozie, because their size small is almost comparable to children's sizes in America. Very very tiny. So, if you have any apprehensions about it, I wouldn't buy it. Chances are, it won't fit.
DeleteBut, the cool thing about eBay is that pretty much all of the wholesale shops are selling the same things, so you could, in theory, find the same dress in a different size in another shop. I don't buy clothes from Asian sellers on eBay because I know that they won't fit, so I stick to accessories, but I follow a crapton (that is a real unit of measurement!) who have, and they've almost always satisfied, when they pick the right size.
Good luck!
