Navy Peony

Navy peony is one of the many Pantone colors of Fall 2017, and I am totally down with donning it.

Navy is a long time favorite color of mine and I'm embracing it this Fall. I don't--and (probably) won't ever--let Pantone choose my fall outfits, but it's always cool to know that one of your favorite colors is "in".

I've been focusing more on creating a sustainable, personable, inspiring wardrobe versus buying trendy items recently, and I can tell you that the wallet has felt great and the wardrobe has never been more empty. I've donated and sold a great portion of my clothing and I only have more to give. I'm learning to wear what I want, not what people are forecasting that I will want. It's exhausting to always want to be on trend. I'm not saying that I won't embrace trendy things, because at some point, everything is trendy, but I won't base my whole closet on the minds of other people.

Today was a lovely day of brunch (what am I, an adult?) at a place downtown, buying birthday gifts of my mom, and packing. It's amazing how much of your life fits in boxes, ya know? I've moved a lot in my life, but it always amazes me.
